After the majority shares of OZ Minerals was acquired in June 2009 by China Minmetals Nonferrous Metals Company, a subsidiary of China Minmetals Corporation, Minerals and Metals Group (MMG) was formed. In December 2010 the company was registered on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Minerals and Metals Group (MMG) is the direct owner and operator of several mines including the Lane Xang Minerals Limited mine in Laos, the Las Bambas mining facility in Peru, the Rosebery mines located in Australia and the Kinsevere mine in the DRC.
