Kibo Mining Company PLC identifies and assesses potential mineral and mining projects throughout Tanzania. The company deals in gold, coal, nickel and uranium but places focus on identifying gold and nickel deposits. Kibo has two 100% owned subsidiaries – UK based Sloane Developments Limited and Cyprus based Morogoro Gold Limited. The two subsidiaries own all Kibo’s Tanzanian mineral resource assets. Projects are managed through Morogoro Gold Project, Lake Victoria Goldfield and Haneti Nickel-Gold Project. Haneti is run by Eagle Gold and Aardvark – both owned outright by Kibo. Kibo Mining also acquired controlling interests in two energy projects in Tanzania in 2012. The diverse assets in the company’s portfolio give investors excellent exposure to short, medium and long-term returns.

Several operational gold mines are active at the Imweru Gold project. After a feasibility study was completed in 2014 confirmed the economic feasibility of extending development of Imweru. The directors and management team of Kibo Mining Company is diverse and highly experienced. The team include: Louis Coetzee, Executive CEO - Coetzee holds a BA and a MBA, and has 25 years’ experience in the private and public sector. Noel O’Keeffe, Executive Technical Director – O’Keeffe has a BSc degree in Geology with honours and more than 20 years’ experience in the field of mineral exploration. He has worked in various gold and base metal projects around the world. Christian Schaffalitzky, Non-Executive Chairman – Schaffalitzky’s qualifications include CEng, BA (Mod), FIMMM and PGeo. He has more than 30 years’ experience in mineral exploration. Lukas Marthinus Maree, Non-executive Director – Maree is a lawyer and has BLC and LLB degrees. He has served on several boards of mining companies and private investment companies. Wenzel Kerremans, Non-executive Director – Also a lawyer by profession Kerremans has B.Proc, LLB and LLM degrees behind his name and 25 years’ of international legal experience in project finance and mining. Andreas Lianos, Financial Director – With CA, ACMA and CIA qualifications, Lianos is a chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience who started his career with Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance.
